Job Summary

We're looking for a Video Editor who can turn raw footage into stories people actually want to watch.

From startup documentaries and founder stories to Reels, YouTube Shorts, ads and podcasts, you'll work across formats and platforms, creating edits that are fast, sharp, culturally relevant and impossible to scroll past.

Responsibilities

• Editing across formats - long-form interviews, documentaries, Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, brand films, podcasts, ads and founder stories.
• Turning raw footage into compelling narratives with strong hooks, pacing, rhythm and retention.
• Creating content that feels native to social, not like an ad repurposed for social.
• Working closely with the Creative Director and content team to develop and execute new formats, series and content ideas.
• Bringing strong editorial judgement to every cut - knowing what to keep, what to kill and where to make the viewer lean in.
• Creating platform-specific edits across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other social platforms.
• Using tasteful transitions, sound design, music, text, motion and effects to elevate storytelling.
• Working with After Effects/motion graphics to add polish and energy to edits.
• Organizing footage, timelines and project files cleanly for fast-moving production workflows.
• Occasionally supporting shoots and production when required.

Ideal candidate will have

• 2-5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally across digital, social, media, entertainment, startups or creator-led content.
• A strong portfolio showcasing viral or high-performing social content.
• Proven experience editing content that has generated strong views, engagement, shares or retention.
• Someone who genuinely obsesses over speed - you should enjoy moving fast and shipping great work.
• Strong understanding of organic social content and what makes people stop scrolling.
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music, sound and visual rhythm.
• Someone who keeps up with internet culture, trends, formats, creators and emerging content styles.
• High attention to detail without getting precious about the edit.

• Strong ownership, curiosity and a bias towards experimentation.
