Position Overview:

Crutchfield is seeking a Video Editor to edit and support a wide variety of Crutchfield videos. Assigned projects for this role will primarily consist of highly produced, short-form product showroom videos, with opportunities to support product reviews, editorial content, web leads, and social media videos. The Video Editor will be involved in several aspects of video production, including preparation, production support, file and media management, video editing, color grading, and final asset delivery.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical skill, creativity, and the ability to visually enhance and translate products and technologies to Crutchfield’s customers. Video Editors at Crutchfield are expected to produce high-quality videos both independently and as a team on larger projects. This role also has the opportunity for career development into a videographer/editor role, if desired.

As a Video Editor you will:

• Organize and manage media throughout production and post-production
• Edit videos to Crutchfield’s high brand standard, including color grading and occasional creation of motion graphics
• Support video team on larger productions, including national and local commercials, branding stories, editorial, and experimental projects
• Stay on the cutting edge of video production and editing techniques
• Develop technical proficiency in consumer electronics products and technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Film and Video Production, Digital Media Production, Cinematography, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong proficiency in video editing with NLE software like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Avid, or Final Cut
• Experience managing media and files across multiple projects
• Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe After Effects
• Experience working directly with brands, clients, or stakeholders on video projects
• Interest and/or experience with consumer electronics products and technologies

This position follows a hybrid work model, with a minimum of 3 days onsite each week and the remaining days remote. Candidates should be able to commute to our office regularly and collaborate in person with team members. All remote work must be done within the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

Salary and Benefits:

This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $24.04–$28.85, depending on skills and experience, along with an incentive program. This position comes with a comprehensive benefit package including two health insurance plans to choose from along with dental and vision insurance plan options.
