Video Editor

Hagwow is a learning app making education more engaging and accessible. We’re building a media team to bring that mission to life through entertaining, high-quality content—and we’re looking for a video editor to join us.

You’ll work with our creative and production team in our office and studio, editing primarily organic short-form content: street interviews, challenges, studio games, app demonstrations, office content, and real-life interactions with students, teachers, and parents. You’ll also edit occasional ads.

What you’ll do

• Turn raw footage into engaging Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
• Find the strongest moments and build compelling hooks, pacing, and stories.
• Add polished captions, sound design, music, color correction, and graphics where needed.
• Create multiple distinct videos from a single shoot while keeping each edit purposeful.
• Collaborate with the team on ideas, incorporate feedback, and meet publishing deadlines.
• Keep footage and project files organized.

What we’re looking for

• A strong portfolio of short-form video edits, ideally featuring real people, interviews, entertainment, or lifestyle content.
• Good judgment for storytelling, comedic timing, reactions, and audience retention.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
• The ability to make content feel polished, natural, and engaging.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and clear communication.
• Motion graphics and ad-editing experience are a plus.

Location requirement

You must be based within the Cebu City, Mandaue, or Lapu-Lapu area, or be able to commute reliably to The Mactan Newtown, Lapu-Lapu City, for on-site work.
