About the job

We are an ecommerce company building online brands through performance marketing. We are looking for an Ecommerce Video Editor to craft high-converting video ads (30 seconds to 2 minutes) for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is strictly focused on direct-response ecommerce ads, UGC (User-Generated Content) mashups, product storytelling, and ad variations . No filming, vlogging, or cinematic editing is involved. You will work with raw footage, UGC, stock content, and AI tools to create ads designed to convert viewers into customers.

Job Description

The activities of the Ecommerce Video Editor may include:

• Sourcing, curating, and assembling UGC footage, product B-roll, and stock video online
• Writing and structuring short-form video concepts, scripts, and product angles
• Editing 30-second to 2-minute conversion-focused video ads for social feeds
• Structuring e-commerce ad frameworks (Problem-Agitate-Solve, Before/After, Unboxing, Feature/Benefit)
• Generating multiple hook variations, different CTAs, and alternate angles for winning ads
• Using AI tools to generate scripts, AI voiceovers, captions, and visual assets
• Reviewing ad metrics with the marketing team to iterate and improve performance
• Studying competitor ads, viral video trends, and internal winning creatives
• Applying native social styling (dynamic captions, text callouts, sound effects, and clean audio levels)
• Maintaining project files, video libraries, and asset workflows

No filming, camera work, or long-form/vlog editing is required for this role.

Qualifications

Skills

• Direct-Response & Ecommerce Video Editing: Understanding how to sell products through short-form video (30s–2m)
• UGC & Social Feed Styling: Ability to cut UGC-style videos, testimonial mashups, and native social ads
• Hook Mechanics: Mastery of scroll-stopping visual hooks and attention retention in the first 3 seconds
• Visual Storytelling: Ability to structure product narratives using Problem-Solution and Feature-Benefit frameworks
• Ad Variations & Iteration: Ability to rapidly produce alternate hooks, audio tracks, and pacing tweaks from existing footage
• Audio & Motion Basics: Skill with dynamic text captions, audio leveling, SFX layering, and on-screen overlays
• AI Tool Integration: Proficiency in using AI tools for automated captions, voiceovers, and asset generation
• Organizational Skills: Meticulous clip management, file naming, and script-to-edit accuracy

Experience

• Junior or mid-level profiles welcome
• Portfolio demonstrating short-form ecommerce ads or UGC-style marketing content (vlogs, films, or showreels without e-commerce ads will not be considered)

Languages

• Romanian required
• English required

IT

• Proficient with desktop video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut Desktop, or DaVinci Resolve)
• Comfortable using generative AI platforms, online stock libraries, and cloud storage
• Understanding of social media safe zones, ratios (9:16, 4:5, 1:1), and ad formats
