MTS (Monitoring the Situation) is building an X-native, new media and intelligence company for a world shaped by AI. We help people make sense of what's happening at the frontier by asking the right questions, working with the people closest to the developments, and creating content for the platforms where our audience already spends its time.

Alongside new shows, we're exploring products that turn information, data, and insight into tools people can use. We're a small team moving quickly, with the ambition to become a defining source of insight for the next era.

The role

We're looking for an editor to own post-production at MTS. You'll turn hours of live conversation into compelling clips, highlights, and longer-form pieces for the platforms where our audience already spends its time. You'll work closely with our technical producer, our designer, and the founders.

What you'll do

• Edit live shows into clips, highlights, and short-form content on fast turnarounds
• Produce longer-form pieces for shows and events
• Own the post-production pipeline from ingest to delivery
• Partner with design on titles, graphics, and captions
• Use AI tools to accelerate logging, transcription, and rough cuts
• Track what resonates with our audience and refine our editing style accordingly

What we're looking for

• 3–5+ years of video editing experience, ideally in news, digital media, or social-first content
• Fluency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro
• Strong editorial judgment and an eye for the moments that matter
• A sharp sense of pacing and storytelling for social platforms
• A reel that showcases your best work
• Bonus: experience with motion graphics, color grading, or sound mixing

Compensation

• $90K–$150K+ based on experience
