Video Editor (Forex/Trading Industry)

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver video content for social media, performance marketing and brand campaigns across WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Create platform-native short-form videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, motion graphics and sound design.
• Produce longer-form content when required, including interviews, educational videos, event highlights and tutorials.
• Add English and Chinese subtitles, on-screen text, basic motion graphics and brand-consistent visual elements.
• Manage the full post-production workflow, including footage ingest, cutting, basic colour correction, audio cleanup, exporting and versioning.
• Work closely with Marketing and Content teams to understand creative briefs, propose creative concepts and deliver projects within deadlines.
• Repurpose existing footage into multiple formats, variations and creative angles for different platforms and target audiences.
• Maintain an organised project and file management structure, ensuring all final assets are properly prepared for publishing.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience. Agency, in-house or freelance experience is welcome.
• M@ndarin fluency is mandatory, both spoken and written, to support bilingual content creation and team collaboration.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, typography and audio fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience producing short-form social media content, with an understanding of hooks, audience retention and CTAs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and respond effectively to feedback.
• Proficient in video editing and content creation software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent tools.

Added Advantages

• Experience in the FX, CFD, trading or financial services industry, or exposure to financial markets content.
• Strong understanding of social media trends, platform formats, algorithms and content performance metrics.
• Experience creating performance ad creatives and A/B variants, including different hooks, captions and creative angles.
• Experience with templates, MOGRTs or scalable creative production workflows.
• Strong creative sense with the ability to adapt content for both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking audiences.
