Video Editor (Freelance)

Role Description

This role involves editing video content. Daily tasks include assembling raw footage, refining story flow, applying color grading, adding graphics or motion elements, and preparing videos for multiple platforms. The Video Editor will also coordinate with producers and designers to align videos with brand guidelines and deadlines, and may contribute creative input to improve visual storytelling and audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in multimedia, communication, or a related field is beneficial.
• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for news, features, or data-based content.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and professional quality.
• Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics that support clear storytelling.
• Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects).
• Keen visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to work with data-driven narratives.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to respond to feedback and meet tight deadlines.
• Prior experience in news, media, or business/economic content is an advantage.
