Video Editor (Intern)

Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor Intern to join our digital media team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in video editing, social media content, and visual storytelling.

The intern will work closely with the content and creative teams to edit engaging videos for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and other digital platforms while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced digital media environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for digital and social media platforms.
• Convert raw footage into engaging, polished, and platform-ready content.
• Add transitions, captions, graphics, sound effects, background music, and other visual elements where required.
• Create and edit Reels, Shorts, news videos, interviews, and social media content .
• Ensure proper video dimensions, resolution, audio quality, and export settings for different platforms.
• Follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across video content.
• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and exported videos.
• Make revisions based on feedback from the creative and editorial teams.
• Keep up with current video editing techniques, social media trends, and content formats.
• Complete assigned editing projects accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of professional video editing.
• Understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, resolutions, frame rates, and social media specifications.
• Ability to create visually engaging and well-paced videos.
• Basic understanding of audio editing, captions, transitions, and visual effects.
• Strong attention to detail and creative thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new editing techniques and accept constructive feedback.
• A portfolio or samples of previous editing work are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Media Studies, Film & Television, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Mass Communication , or a related field.
• Fresh graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with strong editing skills and a good portfolio may also apply regardless of academic background.

Skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro or similar professional video editing software.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an advantage.
• Understanding of color correction and basic color grading.
• Audio synchronization and basic sound editing.
• Motion graphics and text animation skills are an advantage.
• Understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Familiarity with vertical and horizontal video formats.
• Knowledge of YouTube, Facebook, Instagram Reels, and TikTok content formats.
• Good communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
