About the Role

Owleto Technologies is looking for a creative and motivated Video Editor Intern to join our growing team at Owleto Media Lab, our subsidiary group.

As part of the creative team, you’ll work on video content for social media, digital campaigns, promotional content, and major client projects, turning raw footage and creative ideas into engaging and polished visual content.

This internship is ideal for someone who has a strong interest in video editing and visual storytelling and wants hands-on experience working on real creative projects in a fast-paced media environment.

What You’ll Do

• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging, and visually appealing video content.
• Create videos for social media, digital campaigns, promotional content, and client projects.
• Work closely with the creative and content teams to understand project requirements and bring creative ideas to life.
• Incorporate music, dialogue, graphics, transitions, effects, subtitles, and other elements to enhance video quality.
• Adapt videos to different platforms and formats, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms.
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and creative requirements across different projects.
• Review and refine edits based on feedback from the creative team.
• Support the team in managing multiple video projects and delivering edits within agreed timelines.
• Organise and maintain video files, footage, project files, and other creative assets.
• Stay updated with video trends, editing styles, formats, and industry best practices.
• Assist the creative team with video production and editing requirements across different brands and projects.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interest in video editing and visual storytelling.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or similar professional video editing software.
• Basic knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, or other creative tools is an advantage.
• Understanding of basic editing principles such as pacing, transitions, composition, audio, and visual storytelling.
• Good understanding of short-form social media content and current video trends.
• Strong attention to detail and creative thinking.
• Ability to understand a brief and translate it into an effective visual story.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve editing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a creative team.
• Freshers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Added Advantages

• Experience creating Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or other short-form content.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
• Familiarity with After Effects.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Personal, academic, freelance, or social media video-editing projects.
• A portfolio or sample work showcasing video editing skills.
