Role Overview

We are looking for a Video Editor Intern who can transform raw footage into engaging, visually refined content for Alloy’s digital platforms. The role will involve editing short-form videos, design-led reels, project stories and behind-the-scenes content while maintaining a consistent visual language.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, short-form videos and social media content from raw footage.
• Create engaging edits with strong pacing, transitions, music, sound design and text overlays.
• Edit content related to interior design projects, materials, people, processes and events.
• Select and organise the best footage from shoots to create compelling visual stories.
• Add subtitles, captions, motion graphics and other post-production elements where required.
• Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.
• Work closely with the marketing and design teams to understand the creative direction and content objective.
• Stay updated with social media trends, editing styles, formats, sounds and visual storytelling techniques.
• Maintain consistency in Alloy’s visual identity across all video content.
• Manage and organise video files, project files and footage efficiently.

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar editing software.
• Familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop or Canva is an advantage.
• Good understanding of short-form content and social media trends.
• Strong sense of timing, pacing, composition and visual storytelling.
• Attention to detail and willingness to experiment with creative editing styles.
• Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple content requirements.
• A portfolio or sample edits is preferred.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who is creative, visually curious and genuinely interested in content creation. You should be comfortable experimenting with different editing styles while understanding that good editing is not just about effects — it is about knowing what to show, when to show it and how to tell the story.
