Video Editor Intern — Interview & Social Content

We’re looking for a creative and curious Video Editor Intern to help turn interviews and human stories into engaging social-media content.

This internship is suited to someone who wants to grow as an editor and storyteller. You don’t need extensive professional experience, but you should have a strong instinct for people, emotion and the moments that make audiences stop watching, think or share.

What you’ll do

• Assist with editing interview-led videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms
• Find interesting, emotional and memorable moments in raw interview footage
• Turn longer conversations into concise short-form videos
• Add subtitles, music, sound effects and simple graphic elements
• Learn how to create strong openings, effective pacing and clear storylines
• Adapt content for different social-media platforms and audiences
• Organise footage and support the wider content-production process
• Apply feedback and continually improve your editing and storytelling skills

What we’re looking for

• Basic video-editing skills using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar software
• A strong interest in interviews, storytelling and human behaviour
• Good instincts about what makes people and their stories compelling
• A clear understanding of social-media culture, trends and audience behaviour
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Personal, academic or freelance editing projects that demonstrate your potential

Preferred but not required

• A background or interest in graphic design, visual communication or motion graphics
• Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram or YouTube
• Familiarity with After Effects, animation, colour grading or audio editing
• An interest in psychology, culture and contemporary social behaviour

Pay: £500.00-£1,000.00 per month
