Video Editor (Motion Graphics)

1. Build short videos (under 1 min) and long videos (10–15 min) in After Effects from the client's illustration assets, scripts and voice tracks.
2. Animate characters with simple, efficient techniques: mouth-flap lip-sync, slides, shakes, zooms, squash and stretch, blinks.
3. Add camera work (pans, push-ins, cuts) and keep the brisk pacing short-form anime requires.
4. Place captions (telop) and onomatopoeia text, timed to the audio, using the pre-processed timing sheet provided.
5. Add background music and sound effects from the client library, and balance levels.
6. Follow the client's production manual and style references exactly; reuse templates, presets and precomps rather than rebuilding.
7. Export to spec, name and upload files correctly, and log time spent per finished minute.
8. Apply revision notes from review tools (e.g. Frame.io) within the agreed turnaround.
9. Flag unclear script lines, missing assets or timing issues early to the Production Lead.

Requirements

Must have

• 1+ year of hands-on After Effects work (keyframes, precomps, masks, expressions basics, Puppet tool)
• A portfolio or reel showing character or motion-graphics edits for YouTube, TikTok or Reels
• Working knowledge of Photoshop layered files (PSD import, layer prep)
• Good sense of comedic timing and rhythm for short-form content
• Ability to follow a style manual precisely and repeat it at volume
• Clear written English for briefs and feedback

Nice to have

• A genuine interest in manga and anime — manga fans are more than welcome! Experience with anime, manga, VTuber or webtoon-style content is a big plus
• Lip-sync automation tools or scripts (e.g. Auto Lip-Sync, Joysticks 'n Sliders, Duik)
• Premiere Pro or audio editing for BGM/SE mixing
• Basic Japanese is a strong plus, as it makes editing and syncing captions, lip-sync and onomatopoeia to the audio much faster
• Experience working in a production pipeline with daily quotas
