Video Editor – Short-Form Content

Location: Bangkok, Thailand (BTS Chongnonsi)
Work Policy: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

The Video Editor will help create engaging short-form content for a top-ten T-Beauty skincare brand entering its next stage of growth.

You will edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and paid advertising. Most content will include talking heads, interviews, educational content, experts, influencers, and brand stories.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of editing strong social media videos. Your portfolio and past work are very important to us.

You should understand pacing, hooks, storytelling, subtitles, music, sound, and visual elements that help keep viewers watching.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Video Editing

• Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and paid ads.

• Edit talking-head, interview, educational, lifestyle, influencer, and product content.

• Create strong openings and hooks that make people want to continue watching.

• Choose the best parts of long recordings and turn them into short clips.

• Add subtitles, graphics, images, sound effects, music, and other visual elements when needed.

• Improve pacing and remove unnecessary parts to keep videos interesting.

• Create different versions of the same video for different platforms.

• Create different hooks, openings, lengths, and edits for testing.

Creative Development

• Work with the content and creative team to understand the purpose of each video.
• Suggest better ways to structure or edit content when needed.
• Identify the strongest moments, quotes, stories, or educational points from raw footage.
• Follow brand guidelines while keeping the content natural and suitable for social media.

Performance and Improvement

• Review which videos perform well and understand why.
• Learn from watch time, retention, engagement, and other content performance data.
• Test different hooks, pacing, subtitles, graphics, and editing styles.
• Help build repeatable editing styles and formats that the team can produce consistently.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Content Producers, Creative Strategists, Designers, Marketing, and Media teams.
• Receive feedback and make revisions quickly.
• Organize project files, footage, and finished videos clearly.
• Manage multiple editing projects and deliver work on time.
• Support product launches, campaigns, interviews, events, and special content projects.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing short-form video editing work.

• Proven experience creating videos that perform well on social media.

  • Podcasts and podcast highlights.
  • Interview clips and interview shorts.
  • Talking-head videos.

• 2+ years of experience in video editing, content creation, social media, advertising, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook video.

• Good understanding of pacing, hooks, storytelling, subtitles, music, and sound.

• Ability to identify the most interesting parts of raw footage.

• Comfortable working with talking-head and interview-style content.

• Able to work quickly while maintaining good quality.

• Able to receive feedback and make revisions.

• Able to communicate clearly in Thai.

• English ability is helpful but not required.
