Video Interns

Location: Hamilton Central, New Zealand
Type: 400 hour paid internship (two available)
Reports to: Head of Marketing

About usMEA Mobile is a Hamilton based e-commerce company that runs a portfolio of photo printing apps and websites used by customers in New Zealand, Australia, United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and UK. Our brands include Printicular, Photo Prints Now, Photo Prints Plus, PicPrint and Teds.

The roleWe are looking for someone who loves making videos and wants to use AI tools to make a lot of it. You will produce short form video for social media and paid advertising, turning simple product ideas into content that stops the scroll.

What you will do

• Create short form video (reels, stories, video and YT shorts) for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube

• Use AI video and image tools to produce ad creative quickly

• Cut and resize video into different formats and lengths for each platform and market

• Shoot simple product footage in house when needed

• Work with the marketing team to test creative ideas and build on what performs

• Keep a tidy, easy to find library of finished assets

What we are looking for

• Proactive, energetic, with the ability to manage your own time.
• Passionate about video, editing and visual storytelling
• Curiosity about AI creative tools such as Runway, Sora, Veo, Midjourney or similar
• Comfortable in an editing tool such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve
• Happy to take feedback and turn around changes fast
• Organised and reliable with your own work

Nice to have

• Motion graphics or basic animation
• Experience posting to social platforms
• A portfolio, showreel or personal projects of any kind

Requirements:

• In final years of study, or recently graduated (within 12 months)
• Can provide an academic transcript
• Have appropriate status to work in New Zealand
• Can provide a brief CV – it’s ok if you have not yet had any work experience
• If you have a portfolio – we’d love to see it.

Internships are 10 weeks long full time and are paid (i.e. 400 hours in total). Internships are full time or near full time with a break for the Christmas office closure.
