About the Role

Alexandria Communications is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Videographer & Content Creator to join our growing team!

We're looking for someone with a strong eye for aesthetics, an understanding of social media trends, and the ability to bring creative ideas to life through high-quality video content.

This role combines videography, content creation, creative direction, and editing. You'll work with a variety of clients across industries, including interior design, lifestyle, beauty, medical aesthetics, and more.

Responsibilities

• Attend on-location client shoots throughout Bergen County, NJ, and surrounding areas.
• Film high-quality video content using professional camera equipment and iPhones.
• Provide creative direction during shoots, including shot composition, angles, lighting, and overall visual storytelling.
• Collaborate on content concepts, filming ideas, and creative strategies for clients.
• Edit engaging, polished short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
• Edit content directly on a phone using mobile editing apps.
• Stay up to date on social media trends, transitions, editing techniques, and emerging content styles.
• Organize and manage footage to ensure an efficient editing workflow.
• Maintain a consistent, elevated visual aesthetic tailored to each client's brand.
• Work collaboratively with our team to meet content deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Qualifications

• Experience in videography, video editing, and social media content creation.
• Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and short-form video trends.
• Comfortable filming with both professional cameras and iPhones.
• Proficiency in mobile video editing apps such as Splice, CapCut or similar platforms.
• Experience with professional editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, is a plus.
• Preferred experience with the Sony Alpha 7 IV full-frame mirrorless camera.
• Strong creative eye for composition, lighting, movement, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to independently direct shoots and confidently guide clients on camera.
• Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
• Ability to take creative feedback and make revisions efficiently.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available for in-person client shoots throughout Bergen County and surrounding areas.
