Position Summary

Super Strong English and creative problem solving are absolutely essential!

We mostly focus on building materials for this project like flooring. Hardwood, laminate, SPC, WPC, glue down and more are products and supply chains we need help with. We can train on product if you are super smart about process and understand how to maximize positive outcomes for the factory and the buyer.

SymoGlobal is seeking a full-time Vietnam Quality Inspector to support factory production oversight, product inspections, and quality control checks for manufacturing partners in Vietnam. The role will focus primarily on factories located in and around the Hanoi region, with occasional travel to other parts of Vietnam as needed. The inspector will use SymoGlobal-provided equipment, procedures, and reporting systems to perform quality control checks during production runs, before shipment, and when production issues arise.

This position requires strong attention to detail, integrity, clear communication, and the ability to work independently inside factory environments.

Key Responsibilities

**Production Quality Control**

• Conduct QC checks on active production runs using SymoGlobal-provided inspection equipment.

• Inspect materials, components, workmanship, packaging, labeling, and finished goods according to company standards.

• Verify that production output matches approved samples, specifications, purchase orders, and client requirements.

• Identify quality defects, production inconsistencies, process deviations, and potential shipment risks.

• Perform in-process inspections, final random inspections, and follow-up inspections as required.

**Equipment-Based Testing**

• Use company-provided tools and equipment to complete required measurements, tests, and quality checks.

• Maintain inspection equipment in good working condition.

• Follow SymoGlobal procedures for equipment use, calibration, storage, and reporting.

• Immediately report any equipment damage, malfunction, or missing tools.

**Factory Visits and Travel**

• Travel to factories in and around Hanoi on a regular basis.

• Travel to other parts of Vietnam from time to time when business needs require.

• Coordinate factory visit schedules with SymoGlobal management, factory contacts, and production teams.

• Represent SymoGlobal professionally while visiting factories and interacting with suppliers.

SymoGlobal will cover approved expenses related to factory travel, whether the factory is local or farther away within Vietnam.

**Reporting and Documentation**

• Complete inspection reports accurately and on time.

• Submit photos, measurements, test results, defect summaries, and written findings using SymoGlobal’s required reporting format.

• Record time and activity accurately so SymoGlobal can allocate inspection costs properly.

• Escalate serious quality issues immediately to management.

• Maintain clear records of inspections, factory visits, travel, and related expenses.

**Supplier and Factory Communication**

• Communicate inspection findings professionally with factory personnel.

• Ask questions and gather information when production issues are identified.

• Avoid unnecessary conflict while still protecting SymoGlobal’s quality standards.

• Provide clear feedback to SymoGlobal management regarding factory performance, recurring issues, and risk areas.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, production oversight, QA/QC, or supplier quality.

• Ability to read and follow product specifications, inspection checklists, and written procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or production inconsistencies.

• Comfortable working in factory environments.

• Able to travel within Vietnam as required.

• Able to use inspection tools, measurement equipment, mobile devices, and reporting software.

• Honest, reliable, and able to work independently without constant supervision.

• Strong communication skills.

• Strong English communication preferred; expert English ability is a plus.

• Vietnamese and Expert English language required; Mandarin or deep experience with Chinese-owned factories is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience inspecting consumer products, manufactured goods, components, packaging, or export products.

• Experience working with factories in northern Vietnam.

• Experience with pre-shipment inspections, in-process inspections, and defect classification.

• Experience using calipers, scales, gauges, test equipment, photo documentation, and inspection forms.

• Familiarity with AQL inspection methods is helpful but not required if the candidate can be trained.

• Prior experience working with foreign companies, export clients, or international quality standards.

Work Location and Travel Expectations

The position is based primarily in the Hanoi area, with most factory visits expected to be in or near Hanoi and surrounding industrial areas.

The role may also require travel to other regions of Vietnam depending on production needs, supplier locations, or special inspection assignments. We have some business in the HCMC area as well.

Approved travel expenses related to factory visits will be covered by SymoGlobal. This may include reasonable transportation, lodging when overnight travel is required, and reasonable meal expenses during approved travel.

Expense Policy Summary

SymoGlobal will cover reasonable and approved expenses directly related to factory inspection work, including:

• Local transportation to and from factories

• Intercity travel when required

• Lodging for approved overnight factory trips

• Reasonable meals during approved travel

• Other work-related expenses approved in advance

All expenses must be documented with receipts and submitted according to SymoGlobal’s expense process.

Ordinary personal living expenses are not travel expenses unless specifically approved by the company.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role requires:

• Accurate and timely inspection work

• Honest reporting of defects and production conditions

• Clear photos and documentation

• Proper use and care of company equipment

• Reliable timekeeping

• Professional conduct with factories and SymoGlobal staff

• Timely communication when problems arise

• Ability to follow company procedures without repeated reminders

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, inspection capability, communication ability, and travel flexibility.

SymoGlobal will provide necessary inspection equipment and cover approved business travel expenses related to factory visits.
