Vietnamese Restaurant Support Associate

Job Summary

Phở Bắc Restaurant is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Vietnamese Restaurant Support Associate to assist with daily restaurant operations and provide a welcoming dining experience. This role supports guest service, order handling, food and beverage service, cleanliness, restocking, and teamwork across the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist guests with seating and general dining-area needs.
• Take and communicate food and beverage orders accurately when assigned.
• Assist with preparing and serving Vietnamese-inspired dishes, pho, rice and noodle dishes, appetizers, and beverages.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as needed.
• Ensure food and beverage orders are accurate, complete, and properly presented.
• Deliver orders promptly and courteously.
• Answer basic guest questions about menu items and restaurant offerings.
• Assist with point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, and workspaces.
• Clear and reset tables throughout service.
• Restock ingredients, beverages, utensils, napkins, condiments, takeout containers, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist with preparing service stations and dining areas before and during shifts.
• Support kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, dishes, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and order accuracy.
• Perform other Vietnamese restaurant service and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous Vietnamese restaurant, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn Vietnamese food service procedures and menu offerings.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing hands-on restaurant tasks.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
