Vietnamese Restaurant Support Worker

Job Summary

Anh's Kitchen Midtown is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Vietnamese Restaurant Support Worker to assist with daily restaurant operations and help provide a welcoming dining experience. This role supports food preparation, order handling, guest service, cleanliness, restocking, kitchen and front-of-house activities, and general restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Assist with taking and organizing food and beverage orders.
• Support the preparation and service of Vietnamese dishes, pho, noodle and rice dishes, appetizers, sides, and beverages.
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, plating, packaging, and order assembly as directed.
• Help ensure food and beverage orders are accurate and complete.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously when assigned.
• Assist guests with basic questions about menu items and restaurant offerings.
• Support point-of-sale transactions and customer payments as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, service stations, kitchen areas, and workspaces.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a neat and welcoming restaurant environment.
• Restock ingredients, beverages, utensils, napkins, containers, and other restaurant supplies.
• Assist kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle food, ingredients, equipment, and restaurant supplies carefully and responsibly.
• Communicate guest requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties.
• Help maintain consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and order accuracy.
• Support effective communication between kitchen and service team members.
• Assist with organizing workstations and preparing service areas for daily operations.
• Perform other Vietnamese restaurant support and service duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous Vietnamese restaurant, restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Willingness to learn Vietnamese food service and restaurant procedures.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
