Village Manager

About the role

As Village Manager, you'll be at the heart of village life. You'll build trusted relationships with residents, lead village operations, and help foster the warm, welcoming culture that makes our communities unique. Every day is different. One moment you may be working with residents on community initiatives, the next overseeing maintenance projects, supporting events and our resident community, managing contractors, or ensuring the village continues to operate smoothly and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the village
• Building strong and positive resident relationships
• Creating an exceptional resident experience
• Managing facilities, maintenance and village presentation
• Coordinating resident events and community activities
• Supporting resident inductions and village communications
• Managing budgets, reporting and planning activities
• Leading health and safety systems and practices
• Working closely with residents, contractors and support teams

About you

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Confidence working with budgets, reporting and planning
• A positive, practical and approachable leadership style
• Business or Operations management experience with solid H&S background
• Sound computer skills across Microsoft Office
• Understanding of retirement village operations and the Retirement Villages Act (ideally)
