What they need
Vintage Assistant Winemaker
Where premium fruit, big energy and real winemaking collide
Vintage is where the real work , and the real magic happens. At Vinarchy, the new global wine leader behind Jacob’s Creek, Hardys, Campo Viejo, St Hugo, St Hallett, Petaluma, Stoneleigh and more, vintage is the heartbeat of our craft. And at Rowland Flat in the Barossa, you’ll be right in the centre of one of Australia’s most iconic winemaking regions.
We’re looking for a Vintage Assistant Winemaker to join our 2027 team. Someone who thrives on the pace, the pressure, the problem‑solving and the pure joy of making great wine from grape to glass.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be right in the thick of vintage, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Winemakers and the Cellar team as fruit rolls in and the winery comes alive. Your days will be a mix of hands-on activity, sensory decision-making and supporting the flow of vintage operations across the site.
Guiding grape intake, processing and press cuts with a focus on quality
Assessing juice, participating in tastings and contributing to trials
Keeping winery hygiene sharp and stock records accurate
This is a role for someone who loves being close to the fruit, close to the action, and part of the decisions that shape premium wines.
What You’ll Bring
You’re someone who already knows their way around a winery and wants to deepen their craft. You bring practical experience, a steady hand and a genuine passion for making great wine.
A safety-first mindset and a commitment to contributing to a safe workplace for yourself and the team is essential
Sensory confidence and exposure to premium wine production
Strong attention to detail and a calm, team-focused mindset
Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
If vintage is your favourite time of year and you thrive when the pressure is on, you’ll fit right in.
Why Rowland Flat?
Rowland Flat is home to premium Barossa fruit, modern equipment and a vintage culture built on camaraderie, curiosity and pride. You’ll gain exposure across a large, dynamic site while still feeling part of a tight-knit team. It’s the kind of vintage experience that opens doors, across winemaking, production and global operations.
Eligibility & Screening
At Vinarchy, we’re committed to building a diverse, dynamic and inclusive culture. Prospective candidates will be required to provide proof of legal work rights and complete relevant pre-employment screening to verify eligibility and suitability.
If you’re motivated, hands-on and ready to help shape the 2027 vintage at one of Australia’s most iconic winery sites, we’d love to hear from you.
