About the Role

We’re preparing for our 2027 Vintage season and seeking an experienced Senior Cellar Hand to help drive a smooth, safe and high‑performing harvest.

These casual roles start early to mid‑January and run through the vintage period. It’s fast‑paced, physical, hands‑on work - and you’ll be right in the centre of the action.

As a Senior Cellar Hand, you will:

• Supervise daily cellar operations

• Train, mentor and support new and returning staff

• Maintain safe, efficient workflows

• Assist winemakers with fermentation management and coordination

You may also be involved in:

• Operating presses, crushers, pumps and other equipment

• Grape receival, crushing and juice/wine transfers

• Pump overs, rack and returns, additions and fermentation support

• Barrel filling, emptying, topping and cleaning

• Recording data and cellar notes

About You

You’re calm under pressure, confident in the cellar and great with people. You bring:

• Minimum 3 vintages of experience

• Experience supervising or training others

• Tertiary winemaking/viticulture qualification (desirable, not essential)

• Full working rights - visa holders welcome

• Physical fitness and willingness to work long shifts, 6 days per week

• Ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces (training provided)
