Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine siding layout and materials needed
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing, or removing old siding to ensure a smooth installation process
• Install vinyl siding using hand tools and power tools, following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols
• Use ladders safely for reaching high areas, ensuring proper ladder use techniques at all times
• Apply caulking and trim carpentry skills to create clean edges and seamless finishes around windows, doors, and corners
• Adhere strictly to construction safety regulations, including the use of safety harnesses when working at heights
• Perform roofing repairs or assist with roofing projects such as metal roofing or single-ply membrane roofing as needed during exterior renovations
• Lift heavy siding panels and materials safely, following proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and inspecting completed work for quality assurance

Skills

• Extensive experience in siding installation, roofing repair, drywall finishing, and masonry work
• Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, snips) and power tools (nail guns, drills) used in exterior construction
• Strong knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and the ability to implement safety protocol adherence on-site
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately for precise installation
• Experience with framing carpentry, metal stud framing, tile laying, trim carpentry, and drywall finishing is a plus
• Skilled in outdoor work environments with the physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project timelines
• Knowledge of restoration techniques and remodeling practices to support comprehensive exterior projects
