Violin Instructor

Job Overview

As a Violin Instructor, you’ll help students build musical skills, confidence, and a lasting connection to the arts. You’ll teach violin technique and instrumental performance through engaging lessons tailored to students’ ages, abilities, and learning goals. This is a paid position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individual or group violin lessons, adapting instruction for children and adults.
• Teach music fundamentals, instrument care, practice habits, and performance skills.
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans; track student progress and share clear feedback.
• Maintain a supportive, well-managed setting and use age-appropriate behavior management.
• Your impact: By making music instruction accessible and encouraging, you help students grow their skills and confidence.

Requirements

• Demonstrated violin proficiency and experience teaching music or instrumental performance.
• Experience working with students; experience with children, youth programs, preschool, or early childhood education is valuable.
• Strong teaching, lesson-planning, and communication skills; familiarity with child development or special education is a plus.
• Background in tutoring, adult education, classroom settings, is also valued.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 20.0 per week
