Duties

• Provide comprehensive technical support for database systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, network connectivity, and database performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Manage help desk tickets efficiently using support systems like BMC Remedy or similar platforms, documenting all interactions clearly.
• Assist users with Active Directory management, user access controls, and permissions to maintain security protocols.
• Support IT infrastructure components such as LAN, VPN, TCP/IP networks, and Meraki devices to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Conduct equipment troubleshooting for desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals; escalate complex hardware or software problems as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects involving Windows support, Linux environments, GPO (Group Policy Objects), and network troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT support roles with a focus on help desk systems and technical troubleshooting support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Linux environments, and computer networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and LAN configurations.
• Familiarity with Active Directory management, GPO administration, VPN setup, and network troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience supporting hardware including computer hardware components, mobile devices, and networking equipment like Meraki or BMC Remedy tools.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users and provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to analyze problems quickly using analysis skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions efficiently.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple customer support tickets while maintaining high-quality service standards.
