Mission

As a Virtual Event Host, your mission is to deliver unforgettable and engaging virtual game nights that exceed client expectations. Your goal is to foster team building, camaraderie, and fun, contributing to Let's Roam's reputation as a leader in innovative virtual team-building events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Event Hosting: Facilitate and host engaging virtual game night events, ensuring a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
2. Game Management: Explain game rules clearly, manage game progress, and keep all participants engaged throughout the event.
3. Customer Service: Respond to participant inquiries and feedback during the event, ensuring all participants have a positive experience.
4. Technical Support: Assist participants with any technical issues that arise during the event, troubleshooting quickly to minimize disruption.
5. Creative Input: Contribute to developing new games and activities, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting for repeat clients.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the event planning team to understand client needs and expectations for each event.

Competencies:

• Must have high-speed internet and a computer

• Communication and Presentation Skills:

  Exceptionally clear and articulate in verbal communication. Able to present and explain game rules effectively, manage group dynamics, and keep conversations lively and engaging.

• Improv Skills:

  Quick-thinking and creative. Able to spontaneously generate entertaining content, respond to unexpected situations, and keep the audience engaged.

• Enthusiasm and Energy:

  Exhibits high energy and passion for hosting events. Keeps the mood positive and engaging, making every game night a memorable experience for participants.

• Tech-Savviness:

  Comfortable with using various virtual meeting platforms and online gaming tools. Able to troubleshoot technical issues quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to the event.

• Hosting Skills:

  Experienced in managing virtual events. Knows how to keep participants engaged, manage time efficiently, and make transitions between games smooth and enjoyable.

• Creativity and Innovation:

  Constantly comes up with new and exciting game ideas. Able to adapt games to suit different groups and keep repeat clients entertained.

• Adaptability:

  Adjusts quickly to changing circumstances. Able to handle diverse groups and cater to different participant needs and preferences.

• Listening and Empathy:

  Attentive to participants' needs and feedback. Able to empathize with participants, creating a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

• Customer Service Skills:

  Prioritizes customer satisfaction. Understands and anticipates client needs, and goes the extra mile to ensure a successful and enjoyable event.

• Availability and Flexibility:

  Has a flexible schedule and is frequently available to host events, including evenings and weekends. Can adapt to last-minute changes and is responsive to urgent client requests.

This Virtual Event Host position is structured as a 1099 gig work opportunity, meaning that the individual will be hired as an independent contractor, not an employee. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to choose when and how often you work, making this an excellent opportunity for those seeking a side gig or flexible work hours.
