Virtual Interior Designer

Wil&Co. Homes is an interior design studio specializing in short-term rental and investment properties across the country. We create thoughtful, hospitality-driven spaces that are beautiful, functional, and designed to perform.

We’re looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our growing team. You’ll have the opportunity to design homes of varying styles in some of the country’s most beautiful and desirable vacation markets, from coastal escapes to mountain retreats. Our projects offer plenty of room for creativity, giving you the opportunity to develop unique concepts, explore different design styles, and see your ideas come to life across entire properties.

This role will begin on a per-project, 1099 contract basis - we're initially looking for someone who can commit approximately 15-30 hours per week initially, with hours fluctuating based on project volume. For the right fit and if the person has a desire, this role grow into a full-time position with Wil&Co. Homes. As the company grows, we want this person to grow with us, taking on greater ownership of projects, creative autonomy, and responsibility within the design team. Compensation is on an hourly basis between $35-40 per hour depending on the experience.

You’ll work within the Wil&Co. Homes design process to take projects from space planning and concept development through FF&E sourcing and final design documentation. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, confidently move projects forward, and deliver thoughtful, polished designs with limited oversight.

Qualifications

* 3+ years of professional interior design experience

* Strong portfolio demonstrating residential or hospitality design

* Strong space-planning skills and ability to create accurate, dimensioned floor plans

* Experience developing cohesive design concepts and detailed room-by-room design boards

* Experience sourcing FF&E across a variety of vendors and working within established budgets

* Familiarity with finish selections including paint, flooring, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, and hardware

* Strong understanding of scale, proportion, materials, and product specifications

*Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy across floor plans, specifications, quantities, sourcing and design documentation

* Highly organized and able to independently manage deadlines

*Collaborative and receptive to feedback while comfortable bringing your own ideas and point of view to the table *Resourceful problem-solver who can independently work through design challenges and identify solutions

* Proficiency in Canva, Google Sheets, and AutoCAD or equivalent design software

* Short-term rental, vacation home, or hospitality design experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

* Execute full-property design projects using Wil&Co. Homes' established design process

* Develop thoughtful space plans that maximize functionality, flow, and guest experience

* Create floor plans, design concepts, and detailed room-by-room design boards

* Source furniture, lighting, décor, finishes, fixtures, and other FF&E within established project budgets

* Maintain accurate and organized project shopping lists with product specifications, quantities, pricing, and links

* Create clear design and installation documentation for project managers and installation teams

* Incorporate internal and client feedback into design revisions

* Independently manage project deliverables and meet established deadlines

* Submit design phases to the Principal Designer for review and final approval
