Job Title: Visiting Faculty – BTEC Level 3 Information Technology

PAC invites applications from IT educators and industry professionals to teach selected units of the Pearson BTEC Level 3 in Information Technology programme.

Our teaching objective is to develop practical, transferable skills that students can apply in further education, employment and real business situations through hands-on learning and industry-relevant projects.

Engagement and Schedule

• Role: Part-time visiting faculty for the first year, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role from the second year, subject to performance and programme requirements.
• Remuneration: PKR 2,500–3,000 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
• Location: PAC, 55-T, Gulberg, Lahore.
• Teaching window: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM.
• Frequency: 2–3 days per week.
• Class duration: 1.5–2.5 hours per session.
• Delivery: On-campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging practical lessons aligned with the relevant BTEC unit specifications.
• Develop students’ technical competence, problem-solving, teamwork, communication and independent learning skills.
• Prepare course plans, teaching resources, lab exercises and appropriate assignment briefs.
• Assess student work against Pearson criteria and provide clear, constructive feedback within assessment guidelines.
• Maintain accurate assessment records, student portfolios and progress reports.
• Promote academic integrity and responsible use of AI and digital resources.
• Participate in faculty meetings, assessment standardisation and relevant Pearson training.
• Support internal verification and Pearson standards verification, including preparing evidence and addressing feedback.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable practical expertise in the units selected for teaching.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students progressing from Matric or O Levels.
• Strong communication, written English, classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to connect technical learning with real workplace applications.
• Availability to teach on campus during the stated schedule.

Preferred

• Previous BTEC or other assignment-based vocational teaching experience.
• Relevant industry experience, professional certifications or a portfolio of practical projects.
• Familiarity with assessment documentation and internal verification.

Candidates without prior BTEC experience should be willing to complete relevant training and follow Pearson’s delivery and assessment requirements.
