VISTA Program Evaluation and Systems Development Coordinator

Join an innovative public health and reentry initiative working to improve healthcare transitions for individuals returning to RI communities following incarceration. Many people leaving incarceration experience barriers associated with poverty, including unstable housing, unemployment, lack of health insurance, transportation challenges, chronic health conditions, and difficulty accessing community resources. As a VISTA Program Evaluation and Systems Development Coordinator, you will work alongside Brown University Health and the RI Department of Correction staff to strengthen the systems behind this important work.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will build sustainable organizational systems that strengthen the Medical Discharge Planning Program. Activities will include assessing program data and evaluation practices; developing standardized data collection tools, databases, dashboard, and reporting resources; researching evidence-based practices; creating community resources and partnership management systems; researching funding opportunities; and developing sustainability resources.
