Visual and Motion Designer

Role

Nyangu is building a more trustworthy rental experience in Nigeria. We are looking for a Video Producer and Motion Designer who can turn an idea into a video people want to finish watching.

You will create promotional teasers, edit content videos, and produce explainers that make Nyangu’s product easy to understand. You should know how to build anticipation, tell a clear story, and use pacing, visuals, motion, and sound with purpose.

We want someone who can take ownership of the full video process, from developing a concept and planning the edit to delivering a polished final video.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, storyboards, and visual treatments for promotional videos and campaigns.
• Produce teaser videos that build curiosity and make key product moments feel significant.
• Edit filmed content for social media, campaigns, presentations, and the Nyangu website.
• Create product explainers using accurate Nyangu screens, interface animations, motion graphics, and voiceover where appropriate.
• Select footage, music, sound effects, transitions, and typography that strengthen the story.
• Work with the content and product teams to turn scripts and product details into clear visual narratives.
• Adapt videos for different platforms and formats while preserving the strength of the original idea.
• Manage feedback and revisions, keep project files organized, and deliver work on schedule.

Skills and Qualifications

• A strong portfolio showing promotional teasers, edited content videos, and motion design or explainer work.
• Excellent editing judgment, especially around pacing, emotional impact, and when to let a moment breathe.
• Proficiency with professional video editing and motion design tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent software.
• The ability to animate interface screens clearly and accurately.
• A good understanding of sound design, captions, color, and export requirements for social platforms.
• Strong creative judgment and the ability to explain your choices, accept feedback, and improve the work.
• An understanding of Nigerian audiences and the visual details that make a scene feel real.
• A sense of ownership. You can identify what a video needs, solve production problems, and carry it through to delivery.
