Visual Designer (Central/5 days)

Responsibilities:

• Define and govern typography and visual design protocols for sidewalls and tread patterns, ensuring full alignment with international regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate design outputs from all global R&D sites through visual quality audits conducted on behalf of senior management, confirming close compliance with design frameworks.
• Provide hands-on support to the pattern design team by recommending and implementing design revisions that strengthen visual impact.
• Manage the arrangement of typography and graphics, ensuring all design materials are presented with professionalism and strong visual appeal.
• Engage with worldwide graphic design and typography partners to further the creation, enhancement, and rollout of the organization's custom typefaces for tire sidewalls.
• Troubleshoot visual design concerns emerging throughout the R&D cycle and offer skilled graphic design guidance.
• Transfer graphic design expertise and best practices to team members via structured training, mentorship, and day-to-day collaboration, strengthening the team's design foundation and boosting collective design competency.
• Coordinate directly with R&D pattern design teams to deliver design requirements and technical assistance.
• Serve as the point of contact with mould manufacturers to develop sidewall and pattern specifications for new tire models.
• Liaise with third-party design and typography vendors to confirm timely project completion.
• Partner with global graphic design and typography agencies to raise the bar on overall design excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above (master's preferred) in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of full-time graphic design experience in publishing, advertising, or a reputable design firm
• Experience in typesetting and formatting materials to international standards preferred
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
• Experience with Rhino and CAD is a plus
• Strong text and image typography skills, with the ability to structure and present content professionally
• Fluent in Chinese and English (need to be able to communicate with Chinese speaking counterparts or clients)
• Able to transfer graphic design knowledge and methodology to team members through training, coaching, or daily collaboration, helping build design fundamentals and elevate overall design capability
