VMC Operator and programing

A VMC Machine Operator and Programmer sets up, operates, and programs vertical machining centers to produce precision parts safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings, work orders, and GD&T specifications.
• Create, edit, and prove out CNC programs using G-code and CAM software.
• Set up the VMC, including tools, fixtures, work offsets, and cutting parameters.
• Operate the machine and monitor machining cycles; adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets as needed.
• Inspect parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues.
• Maintain production records, follow preventive-maintenance schedules, and keep the work area clean.
• Follow safety procedures and quality-system requirements.

Typical qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up VMCs; programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Familiarity with CAM software and machining materials, tools, and processes.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical requirements

• Stand for extended periods and handle machine components or materials, with lifting requirements depending on the workplace.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
