Vmc Operator And Programming

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate and run VMC machines for machining of components as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Set up jobs, fixtures, tools, offsets, and work coordinates on the VMC machine.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, machining drawings, and work instructions.
• Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping and alignment.
• Perform tool setting, tool offset correction, and basic program editing as required.
• Monitor machining operations and ensure proper cutting parameters are maintained.
• Inspect machined components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, and other measuring instruments.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
• Identify machining defects, tool wear, and machine-related issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S, safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintain production records and ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and coolant/chip management.
• Follow company quality standards and safety procedures at all times.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• ITI / Diploma in Machinist, CNC/VMC, Mechanical, or related trade.
• 03 years of relevant experience as a VMC/CNC Machine Operator preferred.
• Hands-on experience in operating 3-axis/4-axis VMC machines.
• Knowledge of Fanuc/Mitsubishi/Siemens or similar CNC controls will be preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances, and machining symbols.
• Good knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, work holding, and machining parameters.
• Experience in using precision measuring instruments.
• Candidate should be quality-conscious, disciplined, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to work in shift duties, if required.
