VMC Operator

Key Responsibilities : -

• Operate VMC machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings.
• Program CNC/VMC machines using G-code, CAM software, or manual input.
• Set up tools, fixtures, and work pieces for machining operations.
• Conduct first-off inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, CMM, etc.).
• Optimize machining parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
• Maintain production records, job sheets, and quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and 5S workplace practices.
• Collaborate with design and quality teams to resolve machining issues.

Qualifications & Skills : -

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in VMC operation and programming.
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.).
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, NX, SolidCAM preferred).
• Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
