Job Description

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to operate Vertical Machining Centre machines and manufacture components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines efficiently and safely.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Perform machine setup, tool setting, and component loading/unloading.
• Set and adjust tool offsets and wear offsets.
• Monitor machining processes and maintain required production output.
• Inspect components using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.
• Make minor offset corrections as required.
• Identify and report machine, tool, and quality issues.
• Maintain production and quality standards.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Required Skills

• VMC operating and basic setting knowledge.
• Engineering drawing reading.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Knowledge of tool offsets.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Salary

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with VMC/CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or engineering company will be preferred.
