VMC Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines as per production requirements.
• Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to drawings and job specifications.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
• Load and execute CNC programs and make necessary offset and parameter adjustments.
• Perform tool setting, tool changes, workpiece loading/unloading, and machine alignment.
• Check finished components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure components are manufactured within specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Monitor machining processes and identify tool wear, machine issues, and quality problems.
• Maintain proper production records, inspection reports, and machine-related documentation.
• Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and preventive maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.
• Minimize material wastage, machine downtime, and rejection rates.

Required Skills

• Experience operating VMC/CNC machining machines.
• Knowledge of G-code, M-code, tool offsets, work offsets, and CNC controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with measuring and inspection instruments.
• Good understanding of production and quality requirements.
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
• Good attention to detail and safety awareness.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Experience:

• VMC Machine : 3 years (Preferred)
