Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining operations. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, tool setting, component inspection, and achieving production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines as per production plan and work instructions.
• Perform job setting, fixture setting, and tool setting.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set and adjust tool offsets and work offsets.
• Monitor machining operations and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Replace cutting tools and monitor tool wear.
• Maintain production records and daily machine reports.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and machine cleaning.
• Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards on the shop floor.
• Achieve daily production targets with minimum rejection and rework.
• Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and abnormal conditions to the supervisor immediately.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of VMC/CNC machine operation and machine setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controllers.
• Understanding of tool offsets, work offsets, speeds and feeds.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of G-Code and M-Code is preferred.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Salary

As per experience and company standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
