VMC OPERATOR

Role Description The VMC Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and job specifications. Day-to-day tasks include machine setup, tool selection and fitting, loading and unloading workpieces, adjusting parameters, and ensuring parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements through regular inspection. The role also involves basic program input or adjustments, routine machine maintenance, and accurate documentation of production activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathwada, Ahmedabad, working closely with the production and quality teams to meet delivery schedules and maintain safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in operating VMC machines, including setup, tooling, and production of precision components.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and basic CNC controls; exposure to customized indexable tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality inspection tools.
• Understanding of shop safety practices, machine maintenance routines, and good housekeeping standards.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Prior experience in a machining
• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., ITI, Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering) or equivalent hands-on experience.
