VMC / BMC Programmer – 3 Axis, 4 Axis & 5 Axis

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced CNC VMC Programmer who can independently handle 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis machining.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Mastercam and should be capable of programming, machine setting, prove-out, tool selection and machining of precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming of 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis VMC/BMC machines
• Prepare CNC programs using Mastercam
• Read and understand 2D drawings and 3D models
• Decide machining process, operation sequence and setup
• Tool selection, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds
• Fixture planning and work holding
• Machine setting and program prove-out
• Handle complex and precision machining jobs independently
• Optimize cycle time and improve machining productivity
• Troubleshoot programming and machining problems
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish
• Coordinate with Tool Room, Production and Quality teams
• Minimize tool breakage, rejection and machining errors

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Mastercam
• Practical experience in 3-Axis CNC machining
• Experience in 4-Axis machining
• Experience in 5-Axis machining
• Good knowledge of CNC programming and G-code
• Understanding of tooling, inserts, holders and cutting parameters
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T
• Knowledge of precision component machining
• Ability to independently take a component from drawing/model to finished machining

Candidate Preference

Candidates having actual shop-floor experience in Tool Room, Die & Mould, Fixtures, Precision Components or complex CNC machining will be preferred.

We are specifically looking for a hands-on programmer, not only a CAD/CAM operator. The person should be able to understand the component, plan the machining process, create the Mastercam program, set the machine and successfully prove the job on the machine.

Experience: Preferably 3+ years relevant CNC/VMC/BMC programming experience

Pay: ₹367,907.13 - ₹1,308,239.77 per year
