Location: Pirana, Ahmedabad

Type: Full-time
Shift Timings: Rotational Shifts 7 AM-3.30PM and 3.00 PM to 11.30 PM
Salary: Up to ₹35,000 CTC (flexible for the right candidate)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled VMC Programmer & Operator who can handle both programming and machine operation responsibilities with confidence and accountability. The role requires strong knowledge of drawing reading, machining sequence planning, tooling selection, program preparation, machine setting support, and production operation.

This position is ideal for someone who understands the full machining cycle — from interpreting a drawing and preparing the program to operating the machine and ensuring accurate production output on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Study engineering drawings, job cards, and process requirements to understand dimensions, tolerances, machining sequence, and quality expectations before starting the job.

• Prepare, edit, and run CNC programs on VMC machines as per component drawing and production requirements, ensuring accuracy and machining feasibility.

• Set tools, offsets, fixtures, and work coordinates properly to ensure correct machining setup and smooth execution on the machine.

• Operate VMC machines to produce parts as per drawing, while monitoring surface finish, dimensional accuracy, tool wear, and cycle time during production.

-Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, and height gauge, and make minor offset corrections where required.

• Maintain safety, machine discipline, and production records, including machine cleanliness, daily checks, rejection details, program changes, and shift handover communication.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

Experience

• Minimum 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in VMC programming and machine operation within a manufacturing setup.
• Experience in machining precision engineering components will be preferred.

Education (any one of the following)

• 10th / 12th Pass with strong relevant experience
• ITI in Machinist / Turner / Tool & Die Maker
• IGTR / MSME Tool Room Certification
• Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of VMC programming and operation
• Good understanding of engineering drawing reading
• Knowledge of G-code / M-code
• Familiarity with Fanuc control preferred
• Good understanding of machining sequence planning
• Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, work holding, and datum setting
• Understanding of tolerances, surface finish, pocketing, drilling, tapping, contouring, and profile machining
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments confidently
• Basic understanding of tool offsets, work offsets, and in-process corrections
• Practical understanding of machining behavior and shop-floor production requirements

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
