Job Title: VTL Setter cum Operator

Experience: 5–15 years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines for precision machining.
• Perform tool setting, fixture setting, workpiece alignment and tool/work offset adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, grooving, drilling and threading operations as required.
• Select suitable cutting tools, cutting speeds, feeds and machining parameters.
• Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
• Use Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor tool wear and make necessary tool and offset corrections.
• Handle non-standard and heavy engineering components where required.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production quality.
• Meet production targets while following safety procedures and 5S practices.
• Maintain production records and coordinate with Quality and Production teams.

Required skills

• Hands-on CNC VTL setting and operating experience.
• Knowledge of FANUC or Siemens CNC controls.
• Understanding of G-codes and M-codes; programming knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong drawing-reading and dimensional inspection skills.
• Ability to independently set up jobs and solve machining problems.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
