VMC/HMC machine programing/operator

Independently prepare, develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for VMC and HMC machines. Set up and operate VMC/HMC machines equipped with Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Mitsubishi CNC controllers. Prepare CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM software as applicable. Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T, tolerances, and process sheets. Develop machining programs for facing, milling, drilling, boring, tapping, reaming, pocket milling, slot milling, contouring, and other machining operations. Select appropriate machining strategies, cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and machining parameters. Perform complete machine setup, including job clamping, fixture setting, tool setting, and work coordinate offset setting. Set and adjust tool length offsets, cutter radius compensation, and tool wear offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy. Establish workpiece datum points and coordinate systems as per engineering drawings. Conduct program verification, simulation, dry runs, and first-off machining trials before production. Independently execute new CNC programs and modify existing programs as required. Optimize machining cycle times, cutting parameters, tool paths, and tool life without compromising component quality. Operate VMC/HMC machines and monitor machining operations to achieve production targets. Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with drawing specifications. Inspect machined components using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, Thread Gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Identify and troubleshoot CNC programming errors, machine alarms, tool breakage, dimensional variations, and machining problems. Perform job changeovers, fixture adjustments, tool replacements, and necessary machine corrections. Handle new component development, machining trials, and regular production jobs independently. Coordinate with the Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to resolve machining and quality-related issues. Prepare and maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tool lists, operation sheets, production records, and inspection reports. Maintain proper program backups and revision control. Support basic preventive maintenance and maintain machine cleanliness. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, SOPs, and 5S practices. Experience in precision engineering, CNC machine manufacturing, die & mould, or special-purpose machine manufacturing. Experience in independently programming and operating VMC and/or HMC machines. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi CNC controllers. Experience in precision machining of complex components with close dimensional tolerances. Experience in both new component development and regular batch production. Ability to independently handle programming, machine setup, tool selection, machining, and inspection. Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Siemens NX CAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent. Experience with 3-axis and 4-axis VMC/HMC machining operations. Knowledge of HMC pallet systems, rotary tables, indexing fixtures, and multi-face machining. Experience in process planning, machining optimization, fixture setting, and tool life improvement. Basic understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Experience in independently troubleshooting CNC programs, machining processes, and dimensional accuracy issues. Experience in complex component programming and multi-axis machining will be an added advantage. Important Requirement The candidate must have practical experience in both VMC/HMC programming and machine operation and should be capable of independently completing the entire machining process, from engineering drawing interpretation and CNC program preparation to machine setup, component machining, and quality inspection. Candidates having experience only in machine operation, without the ability to independently prepare and modify CNC programs, will not meet the complete requirements of this position.

Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
