ABS International is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Vocal Mix Engineer to join our in-house Audio Production team at our Gulshan-e-Iqbal office.

About the Role

As a Vocal Mix Engineer, you will be responsible for recording, editing, processing, and mixing vocals to a professional standard.

This is a hands-on role where you will work on live projects from day one. You will transform raw vocal recordings into clean, polished, balanced, and production-ready tracks while maintaining consistency and quality across all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and edit vocal sessions with proper gain staging, level management, and recording techniques.
• Perform vocal tuning and timing correction while maintaining a natural and musical sound.
• Apply professional vocal processing, including:
• EQ
• Compression
• Limiting
• Saturation
• Automation
• De-essing and other corrective processing
• Use effects such as reverb, delay, modulation, and other creative processing with precision and purpose.
• Identify and remove unwanted noise, distortion, clicks, pops, and other recording issues.
• Mix vocals with instrumental and music tracks while maintaining clarity, depth, balance, and presence.
• Ensure vocals sit naturally within the overall production without compromising their character.
• Collaborate with artists, content teams, and production staff to achieve the desired sound.
• Organize and maintain audio files, sessions, plugins, project folders, and production records.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent audio quality.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• Proven hands-on experience as a Sound Engineer, Audio Engineer, Vocal Mix Engineer, or Mixing Engineer.
• Strong practical knowledge of vocal recording, processing, and mixing workflows.
• Advanced understanding of EQ, compression, limiting, reverb, delay, saturation, automation, and other vocal-processing techniques.
• Proficiency in at least one professional DAW, such as:
• FL Studio
• Pro Tools
• Logic Pro
• Ableton Live
• Cubase
• Or an equivalent professional DAW.
• Solid understanding of recording techniques, microphone selection, and microphone placement.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong musical ear.
• Ability to identify subtle audio imperfections and correct them effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Strong understanding of professional audio workflow and file management.

Portfolio Required

A portfolio or audio work samples are mandatory.

Compensation
