Senior Cisco Voice Engineer

Location: Lansing, MI — 2 days onsite per week

Duration: 12+ month contract

Pay Rate: $65–$73/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cisco Voice Engineer with extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise Cisco on-premises voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Session Border Controllers (SBCs), SIP signaling and call routing, voice encryption, certificate management, and VMware-based voice platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco on-premises voice solutions.
• Administer and troubleshoot SBCs, SIP trunks, call flows, and voice interoperability.
• Implement and troubleshoot voice encryption, certificates, and security controls.
• Resolve complex voice signaling, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Support voice infrastructure running on VMware.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to improve service reliability.
• Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance and support.
• Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level experience with Cisco on-premises voice technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
• Deep understanding of SIP, SIP trunking, call routing, and voice signaling.
• Experience with voice encryption, TLS/SRTP, and certificate management.
• Experience supporting voice platforms in VMware environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NICE voice recording or related solutions.
• Experience supporting large enterprise or public-sector voice environments.

Important: Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in Lansing, MI, two days per week.
