Middle C Music is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate Voice Instructor to join our growing teaching team!

What You'll Do As a Voice Teacher at Middle C Music: You will provide engaging, individualized voice instruction to students while helping them build confidence, technique, musicianship, and a genuine love of singing.
Responsibilities include:
- Teach private voice lessons to children, teens, and adults.
- Provide instruction tailored to each student's age, goals, ability, and learning style.
- Teach healthy vocal technique, breathing, pitch, tone, diction, and musicality.
- Help students prepare for performances, recitals, auditions, competitions, and other musical goals when appropriate.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional lesson environment.
- Maintain consistent communication and professionalism with students, families, and MCM staff.
- Keep students engaged and progressing through thoughtful lesson planning.
- Follow Middle C Music policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Participate in MCM recitals and performance opportunities as appropriate.
- Communicate student progress or concerns to the appropriate MCM staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional teaching environment.

- A confident and skilled vocalist.
- Comfortable teaching children, teenagers, and adults.
- Patient, encouraging, and able to connect with a variety of personalities.
- Knowledgeable in vocal technique and music fundamentals.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Professional in communication and appearance.
- Comfortable performing and helping students prepare for performance.
- Able to create lessons that are structured while still being fun.
- A team player who is willing to communicate and collaborate with other MCM teachers and staff.
- Passionate about helping students become confident musicians, not simply teaching them songs.
Education & Experience
A degree in music, vocal performance, music education, is required. Professional performance, teaching, or equivalent musical experience is strongly valued.
Experience teaching private voice lessons is preferred.
We welcome experienced teachers as well as talented musicians who have a strong desire to develop their teaching skills.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, with opportunities for additional teaching hours as student enrollment grows.
Lessons may be taught:

- In students' homes throughout our service area
Teacher schedules are developed based on student demand, teacher availability, and MCM scheduling needs.
Middle C Music provides:
- A professional teaching environment
- Student enrollment and marketing support
- Scheduling and administrative support
- Performance opportunities
- Recitals and student showcases
- A collaborative teaching team
- Opportunities to teach students of different ages and experience levels

The MCM Standard
At Middle C Music, we take our students and our standards seriously.
Our teachers are expected to be prepared, professional, dependable, communicative, and engaged. We want students and families to feel that they are receiving exceptional instruction and exceptional care every time they walk through our doors.
If you're the kind of teacher who gets excited when a student finally nails the note they've been working on for three weeks, celebrates the nervous kid who gets on stage anyway, and genuinely cares about the person behind the music - we'd love to hear from you.
Come teach with Middle C Music.
