What they need

Why you will love Working Here Getting older can mean giving up a lot. Your home. Your routine. The little things that make life feel like yours. We don't think it should.

With more than 800 team members and 300 volunteers, we're here to help people stay connected to the life they love. Whether that's a lift to an appointment, help around the house, or a familiar face stopping by for a chat, we're making everyday life a little easier for people across our community.

And we look after our team the same way. You'll be supported, appreciated, and surrounded by people who genuinely care about making life better for others and each other.

The work you do might happen behind the scenes, but it's what helps the right support show up at the right front door, every day.

Here's what you can expect

  • Clear, supported career pathways and training to help you grow
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging ($15,900 per annum)
  • Leave loading to make your time off even sweeter
  • Branded workwear
  • Employee referral rewards because good people know good people
  • Fitness Passport access to gyms and wellness facilities
  • Employee Assistance Program for confidential support when you need it
  • QLeave portable long service leave that recognises long-term care work

What you'll be doing Help good people do great things.

A volunteer can be the difference between a lonely afternoon and a good conversation. A reason to get out of the house. A familiar face to look forward to seeing each week.

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll help make those meaningful connections happen.

This is a part-time role working 45.6 hours per fortnight. Our preference is for the role to be worked across three days per week (Wednesday to Friday), however we're open to discussing alternative days for the right person. The role can be based on either our Maroochydore office on the Sunshine Coast or our North Lakes office in North Brisbane. The successful candidate will spend time out in the community connecting with volunteers, local organisations and the people we support, with travel required across their region as part of the role.

Working closely with the Volunteer Team Leader, you'll coordinate and support the day-to-day administration of our volunteer programs, including the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). This includes recruitment, onboarding, record keeping, data entry, scheduling, and volunteer-customer matching. While the role has a strong administrative focus, you'll also spend time building relationships with volunteers, community organisations, and the people we support.

Although largely office based, travel across our regions is required as needed to attend meetings, conduct volunteer meet and greet visits, and maintain local community connections.

You'll Also

  • Be the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries
  • Coordinate volunteer matches and schedule meet and greet visits
  • Support volunteer training and engagement activities
  • Build relationships with community organisations and referral partners
  • Maintain accurate records and for reporting
  • Help promote volunteer opportunities across our communities

You'll thrive in this role if... You know how to juggle moving pieces across systems without losing sight of the person at the centre of it all. You communicate clearly, stay calm when plans change, and genuinely enjoy helping people find meaningful ways to contribute.

Most importantly, you understand that behind every volunteer match is a real person looking for connection.

You'll Also Have

  • A qualification in Business Administration, Community Development or a related field, or experience in a similar role
  • Experience coordinating volunteers, services, programs or teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and databases
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel when required

Belonging Starts Here We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone, no matter their background, culture, or story, feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.

We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.

Apply If you're ready to be part of something that truly matters, we'd love to hear from you.

The best part of someone's week could be a visit from one of our volunteers. The work you do helps make those moments happen.

Apply online today and start a career with heart.

We proudly work across the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi (Gub-bee Gub-bee), Turrbal, Yuggera, Darumbal, Butchulla (Batjala) and Taribelang Bunda peoples, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
