Volunteer Women's Support

It’s often overwhelming for the people we support to make changes in their lives.

You can help by donating your time as a Volunteer Mentor supporting our Senior Women's Workers that work with vulnerable women experiencing multiple disadvantages.

To be eligible for this role you must have lived experience of substance use and understanding and / or lived experience of multiple disadvantages facing women. With this role you’ll be working as part of the In-reach team, focusing on the Women's Pathway based in Camden.

The team supports women who need support with drugs and alcohol, alongisde experiencing other multiple disadvantages.

In this role you will be supporting the people who use our services by offering them one-to-one support in the community, and supporting staff to co-facilitate groups and activities.

Whether you’re talking about goals in a coffee shop, or researching job opportunities together in a library no two sessions will be the same. We treat everyone as individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Helping people to take that next step can be a challenge, so in return for your time we will offer you comprehensive training and will ensure that you have someone at the other end of the phone for day-to-day advice and guidance. We will also make sure you have a named supervisor, who you will meet up with regularly.

By volunteering with us you will gain valuable experience and skills, as well as making a real difference.
