VP, Data Center Operations

For our client, we are seeking a VP, Data Center Operations to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This executive will lead large-scale, mission-critical data center operations with a focus on consistency, safety, and performance across a broad multi-site footprint. The role will partner closely with regional leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational discipline, technical readiness, and strong field execution. It is well suited for a leader who can balance enterprise standards with local operational realities while supporting organizational growth and risk management.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $225,000 – $290,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for 40+ multi-tenant data centers
• Establish clear expectations and accountability for regional teams
• Drive consistency while adapting to local needs and dynamics
• Build a safety-oriented and performance-driven culture
• Ensure operational discipline and technical readiness across sites
• Oversee environmental health and safety programs
• Translate enterprise standards into high-quality field execution

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mission critical operations or complex environments
• Extensive experience leading multi-site operations with performance accountability
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
• Track record of enhancing operational consistency and workforce performance
• Experience managing risk, incidents, and organizational growth transformations
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and physical security principles
• Exceptional executive communication and cross-functional influencing skills
