Cognisant is working with a growing data center platform to appoint a senior Operations leader to oversee its activities across Texas. This is a regional leadership position with responsibility for the safe, reliable and consistent operation of mission-critical facilities, while building the operational capability required to support a growing data center portfolio. The role will suit an experienced data center operator who has progressed beyond individual facility leadership and is comfortable taking responsibility across multiple sites, teams and markets.

The Role

• Lead data center operations across a regional Texas portfolio
• Take ownership of operational performance, reliability, availability and customer service
• Lead and develop site and regional operations teams
• Ensure consistent operating standards, processes and governance across multiple facilities
• Act as a senior escalation point for critical operational issues and incidents
• Oversee preventative maintenance, operational readiness, safety and compliance
• Partner closely with Development, Construction and Commissioning teams as new facilities move into live operation
• Support continued regional growth and the mobilisation of new data center campuses

The Person

We are interested in speaking with senior Operations professionals currently operating within the data center / mission-critical sector. You are likely to be operating at VP, Regional Director, Senior Director or Director level, with experience leading either multiple data centers or a significant hyperscale / mission-critical campus.

You should bring strong experience across:

• Critical Facilities / Data Center Operations
• Multi-site or regional operational leadership
• Mission-critical infrastructure and uptime
• Leadership of sizeable technical teams
• Customer and stakeholder management
• Operational governance, safety and compliance
• Commissioning-to-operations transition
