VP Financial Control

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness
• Ensure the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, insurance regulators)
• Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze business performance, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projections, budgeting processes, and other finance-related initiatives
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead, manage, and develop the accounting and finance team to enhance performance and capability
• Support the CFO and senior management with ad hoc financial analysis, reports, and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with proven experience in a managerial or leadership role
• Prior experience in the life insurance or insurance industry is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts)
• Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/TFRS), regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights
• Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent
• Experience in IFRS 17 implementation projects
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
