Job Overview

Relevant Healthcare is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations and Strategy to help lead the company’s next stage of growth while strengthening operational excellence, strategic execution, and customer impact.

This executive will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to translate company priorities into clear operating plans, strengthen organizational systems, guide strategic decision-making, and ensure that Relevant continues delivering exceptional value to community health centers.

The VP will operate across strategy, operations, business development, service delivery, and organizational leadership, helping Relevant scale thoughtfully while maintaining the quality, culture, and customer focus that differentiate the company.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to define company priorities, operating goals, and long-term strategic direction.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable objectives, KPIs, operating plans, and organizational initiatives.
  • Establish effective operating rhythms, management processes, and communication structures across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency, accountability, and cross-functional execution.
  • Lead high-priority strategic initiatives from initial analysis through implementation and performance measurement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Relevant’s customers, markets, competitors, and evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Evaluate adjacent market opportunities, new customer segments, strategic partnerships, and potential revenue models.
  • Support business development strategy and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
  • Partner with Product leadership on market positioning, customer needs, product strategy, and new offering development.
  • Evaluate opportunities to expand Relevant’s analytics and population health capabilities across community healthcare organizations.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to strengthen implementation, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and long-term retention.
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure customer value, operational performance, and service quality.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new services and scalable customer-support models.
  • Support strategies that improve customer ROI and strengthen long-term relationships with community health centers.
  • Lead strategic initiatives involving FQHCs, Medicaid, population health, healthcare analytics, and public-sector healthcare programs.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Customer Experience teams to align technology development with operational and market priorities.
  • Evaluate organizational structure and recommend changes that support effective execution and sustainable growth.
  • Manage and develop senior team members while strengthening leadership capabilities throughout the organization.
  • Support recruiting, organizational development, and talent planning as the company grows.
  • Present strategic analysis, operating performance, organizational priorities, and recommendations to executive leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across operations, strategy, business leadership, healthcare technology, or related functions.
  • Experience leading a business unit, operating function, or organization in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Significant experience in HealthTech, healthcare analytics, population health, Medicaid, public-sector healthcare, or healthcare services.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and other U.S. public-sector healthcare programs.
  • Experience working with community health centers, FQHCs, safety-net providers, or similar healthcare organizations strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Customer Experience teams within a modern B2B technology environment.
  • Strong strategic planning, business analysis, and organizational problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience developing company-level goals, KPIs, management systems, and operating processes.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Experience evaluating new markets, customer segments, partnerships, and business models.
  • Strong understanding of customer success, service delivery, and long-term enterprise relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to identify root causes and translate complex issues into clear decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MHA, MPH, or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a thoughtful and highly effective operator who combines strategic judgment with a strong bias toward execution.

The ideal candidate understands both healthcare and technology and can move comfortably between company-level strategy, organizational operations, customer delivery, product decisions, and people leadership.

This leader should be able to bring clarity to complex problems, establish practical operating systems, make thoughtful trade-offs, and help teams execute without creating unnecessary organizational complexity.

Most importantly, this executive should share Relevant’s commitment to improving healthcare for community health centers and safety-net providers while helping the company grow in a disciplined, sustainable way.
